What we learned, who we met, and why the US market just moved up our priority list.
This July, the M360 Diagnostics team packed up and headed to the Fontainebleau Miami Beach for Mobile Disrupt 2026 – our first time exhibiting in the United States. We arrived with a booth, a demo station, and a healthy dose of curiosity about how a European-built platform would land with an American audience.
Two days later, we left with full notebooks, new deals, and a much clearer picture of the US secondary device market. Here’s how it went.
A compact show in the best possible way
Mobile Disrupt is not one of those sprawling exhibitions where you spend half your time walking between halls. It’s compact, focused and built for doing business: two days, packed with meetings, real interest and what impressed us most was that visitors genuinely came prepared with specific questions.
Nobody stopped by our booth just to collect a pen. Visitors asked about carrier-lock detection accuracy, OEM part validation, per-shop reporting, API integration, certification standards. These were conversations with operators who process serious volumes and know exactly what they need from a diagnostics platform. For a team that loves talking about the technical depth of its product, it was exactly the right crowd.
The US market is as big as they say
We knew the numbers on paper. Hearing them in person is something else. Conversation after conversation, we heard monthly device volumes that would place a company among the largest players in many European markets – described casually, as business as usual. The scale of the American refurbishment, wholesale and buyback ecosystem is remarkable, and the appetite for reliable, transparent diagnostics is growing right along with it.

For a platform built around trust – certified erasure, consistent grading, tamper-proof device certificates – that’s an encouraging combination. The circular economy runs on confidence between buyers and sellers and the US market is asking for exactly the tools that build it.
The warmest moment: meeting our US users
Here’s the part that genuinely touched us. Several of our existing US-based partners came by the booth and we discovered that they’ve been spreading the word about M360 entirely on their own. No referral program, no incentives, no one asked them to. They recommend the platform to colleagues and industry friends simply because they love using it.
For a software company, there is no marketing budget in the world that buys that. Thank you – you know who you are. Meeting you in person was one of the highlights of the show.
Yes, we closed deals on the show floor
Trade shows are usually about planting seeds you harvest months later. Mobile Disrupt delivered some of both: alongside a strong pipeline of follow-up conversations, we also closed deals right there on the show floor. When an operator can see the platform working, ask their hardest questions and get straight answers on the spot, decisions come quickly. We’ll take that as a compliment to the product and to the directness of American business culture, which we thoroughly enjoyed.
What we learned as first-time exhibitors
We believe in being honest about lessons, so here are ours.
Next time, we bring US device models. Our demo units did the job, but showcasing the platform on the exact models American operators handle every day with their carrier variants and lock states will bring the demonstration even closer to their daily reality. Noted for next year.
We also realized is that we need to communicate more clearly that M360 is a software platform. Our booth featured a Diagnostics Station – a sleek, touch-screen setup we built purely to showcase the platform’s capabilities at exhibitions. It drew a lot of attention (everyone loved the touch-screen experience, which the platform fully supports), but it also created a small misunderstanding: some visitors assumed the station itself was part of the product.
So here’s the simple truth: M360 is a software-only solution. There is no proprietary hardware to buy, no station to install. The platform runs on standard computers and connecting devices requires nothing more than an ordinary USB hub – equipment most operations already have. The station exists for one reason: it’s a convenient, attractive way to demonstrate our technology at a trade show. The product is the software and it can be up and running in your facility in minutes.
Looking ahead and we’re not done with Miami yet
Mobile Disrupt confirmed what we suspected: the US market and M360 are a strong match. The volumes are there, the demand for trustworthy diagnostics is there and judging by our conversations, the openness to a European platform with global credentials is very much there too.
In fact, we liked Miami so much that two of our colleagues (David Espinoza – Marketing Manager, and Peter Martai – Product Director) stayed on. This week (July 21–23) they’re attending gsmX Miami, the distribution and wholesale show for mobile devices and consumer electronics across North and South America with a strong focus on the circular economy, which is exactly our home turf. If you’re at the show and want to talk diagnostics, grading or certified erasure, reach out and they’ll be happy to meet you there.
To everyone who visited our booth, asked the hard questions, tried the demo or closed a deal with us in Miami: thank you. To those we didn’t get enough time with, our inbox is open and the trial is free.
We came to Miami as first-time exhibitors. We’re leaving as returning ones. And to keep the momentum going, our next stop is IFA Berlin, September 4–8.
